I have always adored photographing newborn babies, but it seems in the last year or so I have grown this deep passion for how important their little lives are and how important it is to have them photographed. Maybe it is with my children growing, now 3 years, 5 years, and 11 years, I have watched them transform from this unused, untouched, unlived soft pure skin with trust, into amazing people that have so many gifts, but pure trust starts to escape them more with each year. They are worried about things, they cry when something is taken away, they ask where we are going. They are anxious about school or tests or what will happen tomorrow. How amazing the language of a newborn. They trust. 

Which is why photographing them at this age is such a gift. They will sleep under a tree in a basket, they will rest their bodies all curled and twisted, they are formed by what we do and they trust us.

Babies Needed for Photo Project

Hi everyone! I have a project, an open call if you will. I have had a giant, hand crafted wood peace sign made to fit this vision and now I need your help. I need 10-15 babies newborn-3 months old of all different races and nationalities to be a part of this project. I will be choosing a day in April or June to shoot, depending on how long it takes to come with all of those babies, and we will spend the morning shooting all of these beautiful babies carefully tucked into my peace sign. You won't be paid, thats okay  because your babies are priceless anyways. You will receive something special from the finished project and will be helping us get the message of world peace out. Welcome sweet baby Evie, to a loving and beautiful family. I posted awhile back when my good friend had two munchkins, but now they have had the third little angel. I visited them at their home Saturday, they are adjusting to her and life with three.  Raising children is not for the weak.  It is for the strong, brave, and loyal. Evie has wonderful parents.

This is the couple, Monica and Mick Farr, that we photographed in the Napa Valley. I am sure anyone who knows me, has seen some of their wedding photos. Now they have a gorgeous baby girl with bright blue eyes, named Ruby Jean. 

They live in England, but visit Monica's family here in Florida.
